What Cohort is
A protocol tracker, an editorial publication, and a community of people on GLP-1 medications and peptide therapy. Founded and edited by Eric.
What Cohort is not
A doctor. A pharmacy. A medical device. A diagnostic tool. A substitute for your prescriber. A licensed clinical service.
We do not diagnose. We do not prescribe. We do not interpret your labs in a clinical sense. We do not tell you to change your dose. Anything the app says about your data, your labs, your symptoms, or your protocol is educational and peer-perspective, never medical advice.
Your responsibilities
- Talk to your prescriber before changing dose, stopping medication, or making clinical decisions.
- Don't share your account. The anonymous handle is yours.
- Don't harass other members. Cohort is a small, deliberate community.
- Don't use Cohort to source, sell, or trade medications.
- Don't post personally identifying information about other members.
Our responsibilities
- Read every question. Reply within 48 hours when possible.
- Cite our sources when citing science.
- Label opinions as opinions.
- Keep your data private (see Privacy).
- Never sell access to you to pharma or insurance.
- Tell you if any of these change.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older. You must not use Cohort if your prescriber has advised you not to.
Plus subscription, trial, and renewal
The Free tier is free forever. No card. No trial that flips. Free is what most people will use, and we mean that.
Plus is a paid subscription with two plans:
- Monthly — $9.99/month, billed monthly
- Annual — $29.99/year through August 31 (Summer Special, locked in for life if you sign up before the cutoff); $39.99/year after
Both plans include a 30-day free trial for first-time Plus subscribers. We collect your payment method up front so the post-trial transition is friction-free, but you are not charged during the trial. We email you 3 days before the trial ends so the first charge is never a surprise.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (annually or monthly, depending on your plan) unless you cancel. The amount charged is the rate locked in when you subscribed.
How to cancel
If you subscribed on the web (via Stripe):
- Go to Dashboard → Billing → Manage subscription and click Cancel. Takes ~30 seconds.
- You keep Plus access until the end of your current billing period. No partial refund of the unused portion.
If you subscribed on iOS (via Apple):
- Apple handles iOS subscription cancellation directly. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Cohort and tap Cancel. We don't have the ability to cancel iOS subscriptions on your behalf; Apple requires you do it.
- Same rule on access: you keep Plus until the end of your current Apple billing period.
Refunds
Trial period: cancel anytime during your 30-day trial and you're not charged anything. Nothing to refund.
Web (Stripe) refunds: if you're unhappy after your first charge, email support@cohort.fit within 14 days and we'll refund the most recent charge, no questions. After 14 days, refunds are discretionary; we consider unusual situations case-by-case.
iOS (Apple) refunds: Apple handles all iOS App Store refunds directly via reportaproblem.apple.com. They have their own refund policy and we can't override their decisions. If Apple denies a refund you think we should honor, email us; we may be able to issue a credit on the Cohort side.
What happens to your data after cancellation: nothing punitive. You drop to the Free tier with full access to everything Free includes, including all the data you logged while on Plus. Your Plus-only insights (cohort percentile, body composition charts, etc.) become re-locked until you re-subscribe, but the underlying data stays in your account.
Termination
We can terminate accounts that harass other members, post misinformation, or violate these terms. We'll tell you why and let you export your data first.
Liability
Cohort is not liable for medical decisions you make based on anything you read here or anything Eric writes. Cohort is not liable for delays, downtime, or data loss beyond what reasonable engineering practice prevents.
Referral program
Every member has a unique referral link tied to their anonymous handle. When a person you refer pays for Plus, you both get $9.99 in credit applied to your next Stripe invoice. If you're on the Free tier when the referral converts, we bank the credit and apply it the first time you subscribe to Plus.
Eligibility + fair use:
- Self-referrals don't count. We block referrals where the referrer's handle matches the buyer's, and where the referrer's account email matches the buyer's.
- No automation: scripted account creation, mass-emailed links, or any abuse of the program voids credits and may result in account termination.
- Refund claw-back: if a referred user's initial charge is refunded inside 30 days, we reverse the credit on both sides. The audit row stays in your history flagged as REVERSED.
- Max credit accrual: $250/year per account. Anything beyond that requires written approval from us first (eric@cohort.fit).
- Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and don't expire. They auto-apply to your next Stripe invoice — no codes to enter.
- We can change or end the referral program at any time; credits already earned and applied stay applied.
Changes
We'll tell you if these terms change, by email, before they take effect.
